Clonakilty – 15 Years Single Malt (70cl, 48%)

This is a 15 year old single cask single malt from Clonakilty in Ireland, bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. Only 780 bottles were filled. The whisky was distilled in 2007 and matured first in an ex-bourbon cask, then finished in a sherry cask. It was bottled in 2023. The notes are typical of sherry casks: dried fruit, leather and caramelised walnuts, with Christmas cake and plum pudding. The finish is long and nutty.
