A small batch Irish whisky from West Cork, finished in rum casks and bottled at 54.7% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The distillery was founded in 2003 by three friends, Denis McCarthy, Ger McCarthy and John O'Connell. Two had worked as fishermen and the third as a food developer. Their advisers were Dr Barry Walsh, a former master blender at Jameson, and Frank McHardy, previously master distiller at Springbank.
Spring water from the nearby River Ilen is used throughout, along with Irish-grown grain that is malted by hand on site.
