Clonakilty Bordeaux Cask is an Irish single malt from Clonakilty Distillery in West Cork, a family-owned distillery founded by the Scully family. The whiskey is double distilled and finished in red wine casks from Château La Cardonne in Bordeaux. It is bottled at 46% ABV and is non-chill filtered.
Tasting notes describe a nose of soft oak, honey, floral plum and fresh berries. On the palate there is oak spice, cinnamon, clove, vanilla and nutmeg. The finish is long and warming, with drying spice, vanilla cream, blackcurrant and raspberry.
