Clonakilty Port Cask Finish is an Irish whiskey from Clonakilty Distillery, finished in port casks. It is a single batch, hand selected by the distillers from an 8 year old grain whiskey and a 10 year old triple distilled malt.
The nose is fresh with ripe peaches and zesty aromas, creamy, with a hint of wood in the background. The palate is very fruity, with peach and zest, soft spices, and some chilli and cardamom in the length. The finish is medium-long, with a gentle pepperiness that softens towards the end.
