A ten-year-old Clynelish from a Special Release called The Jazz Crescendo, bottled at 57.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was matured exclusively in first-fill bourbon casks of American oak.
The Malt Master took the honeyed flavours and waxy texture of Clynelish, along with the wildcat on the bottle, as inspiration for a whisky that expresses the richness of classic American jazz.
The nose is mineral and maritime, with sea breezes, slaked lime and salt crystals, then sweeter notes of heather pollen and vanilla fudge. The palate is waxy and toffee-sweet, turning lightly salty with growing pepper. The finish is long, dry and spicy, with a trace of dried coconut.
