Clynelish – 12 Year Old (Bottled 1970s) Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky (75.7cl, 40%)

This is an official distillery bottling of Clynelish 12 Year Old, a Highland single malt bottled in the 1970s. It comes in a 75.7cl bottle at 40% (70 proof). The colour is straw. The nose shows tropical fruit, pink grapefruit and light caramel, with old white Chartreuse, mocha and cappuccino, and hints of burning hay smoke, seaweed and fresh pineapple. On the palate it is smoky and orangey, with hay jam, herbal tea and spices such as clove, nutmeg and curry powder.
