This is a 12-year-old Clynelish from the 2022 Diageo Special Releases series, a Highland single malt bottled at 58.5% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The whisky was matured in first-fill and second-fill Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose offers sweet sherry notes, candied fruit and a hint of honey and spice. The palate is powerful, with spicy oak, dark chocolate and vanilla, followed by fruity and nutty tones. The finish is long and warm, with a fine sweetness and light herbal spice.
