Clynelish 12 Year Old Special Release 2022 is a Scottish single malt at 58.5% abv, in a 70cl bottle. It matures in PX Oloroso sherry casks. The bottle design shows a warrior cat, taken from a legend in which the animal saved the Clynelish casks from freezing during a snowstorm by warming them with its glowing eyes.
Light gold in colour, it is described as creamy and fruity on the nose, with herbs, honey, pastry, pear and spice. The palate is peppery, spicy and sweet, and the finish is dry, with chilli, pepper and spice.
