This is a 12 year old Clynelish single malt from the 2022 Diageo Special Releases, a year themed around 'Psychedelic Legends Untold'. It is titled 'The Wildcats Golden Gaze' and comes in a 70cl bottle at 58.5% abv.
The whisky was matured in refill American oak, then in casks seasoned with PX and Oloroso sherry. That combination gives a bright, sweet fruitiness alongside intense oak, for a Clynelish of sweet and spicy intensity.
