Clynelish – 14 Year Old

Clynelish 14 Year Old is a Highland single malt from the distillery at Brora, founded in 1819. It belongs to the Classic Malts Selection, and a wildcat appears on its label. The spirit is fermented in larch washbacks and matured for 14 years in selected oak casks. The distillery works to keep a waxy character in the spirit, and the whisky has a warm gold colour. It is usually described as waxy in texture, with a fine maritime saltiness that balances sweetness against salt.
