Clynelish 14 Years Old is a Highland single malt from the Brora distillery, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The distillery was founded in 1819 by the Duke of Sutherland.
Clynelish is known for a waxy character, said to come from keeping the sediment from the low wines receiver during distillation.
The nose has light beeswax, tropical fruit, pear, green apple and honey, with a little ginger. The palate is honeyed, with peach, pear, green apple and light spice. The finish is gentle and lasting, with a touch of pepper.
