Clynelish – 14 Years Old (70cl)

This is a 14 year old single malt from Clynelish, a distillery on the coast of the northern Highlands, in a 70cl bottle. Whisky from that stretch of coast usually has a light, faintly salty character rather than heavy peat smoke. Northern Highland coastal malts typically show a waxy texture with citrus, pear and honey, a light salty-mineral edge and a touch of gentle smoke.
