Clynelish – 14 Years (70cl, 46%)

This is a 14 year old single malt from Clynelish in the northern Highlands, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The original distillery was founded in 1819 and took its name from the Gaelic for 'garden on the slope'. A new distillery was built next door roughly 150 years later, and the older one was renamed Brora and closed in 1983. Clynelish has belonged to Diageo since 1998. Its whiskies are as intense as those of Brora, with less smoke.
