This is a 16-year-old Clynelish from the Highlands, released in September 2025 as a single cask in Hunter Laing's The Old Malt Cask series. The spirit was distilled in July 2009 and matured in a refill hogshead. It was bottled at 50% ABV without added colour, and 362 bottles were filled.
The nose is sweet smoke, honey and caramelised apples. Liquorice, smoked ham and butterscotch show on the palate, and the finish is long and complex, with dry oak building slowly.
