This is Clynelish 16 Year Old from the Four Corners of Scotland release, bottled in 2021 at 49.3% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky comes from selected American oak hogsheads.
It is described as a smooth, understated malt with a waxy character. The nose is mild, with a waxed cotton jacket and a trace of snuffed candle over a moorland base. The palate is silky and sweet, with honeyed richness and a tropical fruit acidity. The finish is of medium length and lightly drying, with lingering gingery warmth.
