Clynelish 18 Year Old is part of Diageo's 2025 Special Releases, bottled at 51.6% in a 75cl bottle. Nicknamed 'Waxen Sun', it was matured in refill casks.
The whisky includes spirit from cut point experiments, in which a cut is drawn early in distillation, when tropical flavour notes are prevalent. This is known as the 'Pineapple Cut'.
Ripe pineapple is described alongside wax and honey on the palate.
