This is a 50 year old Clynelish from the Gordon & MacPhail Private Collection, drawn from a single cask, number 5335. It was distilled in the Highlands on 16 May 1972 and bottled in 2022, giving 135 bottles.
It was bottled at 58% ABV, with natural colour and without chill-filtration.
Tasting notes describe ripe fruit, wax and fine citrus on the nose, with vanilla, honey and oak spice. The palate is full and powerful, with sweet fruit, a waxy texture, spice and well-integrated oak. The finish is very long and dry, with wax, citrus and aged wood.
