This is a 12-year-old single malt from Clynelish, the Highland distillery near Brora. It was distilled in September 2011 and bottled in April 2024 by Douglas Laing for the Old Particular range. The whisky was matured in a single refill barrel and bottled at 48.4% ABV, without colouring or chill filtration, with 289 bottles produced.
The nose is rich and barley-led with gentle spice, hard fruit candy and a malty backdrop. The palate is big and viscous, with bold cereal flavours and marmalade on warm buttery toast. The finish brings citrus, sugar, cedar wood and mixed spices.
