A single cask Clynelish from the Highlands, bottled by the SMWS as cask 26.218 at a cask strength of 61.2%. It is 10 years old and was matured in a first-fill ex-bourbon barrel, which gave 224 bottles of 70cl.
The nose is fresh and coastal, with clean bed linen, bath salts, washing drying on the beach, pebbles, herbal toothpaste and lemon peel, and honey and caraway behind. The palate is sweet, with heather beer, camphor and a firm waxy note alongside candied fennel seeds. It ends rich, sweet and filling.
