This is a 21 year old Clynelish single malt from the Highlands, selected and bottled by Douglas Laing for its XOP (Xtra Old Particular) range of single cask bottlings.
The nose is ripe apple, pear and citrus with heather honey, vanilla, caramel, cinnamon, nutmeg, a little beeswax and a light honeysuckle note. The palate is soft and slightly oily, with candied peach and apricot, honey, caramel, milk chocolate and a light woody note. The finish is long and warm, with honey and vanilla lingering.
