A 23 year old Clynelish from the Highlands, distilled in 1974 and bottled in 1998 at a natural cask strength of 59.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is a limited edition from the Rare Malts Selection, a series of cask-strength releases created by Diageo to bring out hidden gems from its portfolio.
Tasting notes describe a straw colour and a nose of kirsch, iodine, lemon juice, wax, pollen and wet rocks. The palate is waxy and lemony, with grass and liquorice wood, and the finish is long.
