Clynelish – 24 Year Old 1972 Rare Malts Selection (70cl, 61.3%)

A Clynelish distilled in 1972 and bottled in 1997 after 24 years in cask, released in Diageo's Rare Malts series. It is a Highland single malt bottled at a natural cask strength of 61.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The colour is light gold. The nose recalls a beehive, with plenty of wax and light honey. The palate is very waxy, with honeyed notes and flower jams, and it is described as easy to drink despite the strength.
