This is a Highland single malt from Clynelish, distilled in 1972 and bottled on 14 March 2007 at 34 years old. It is a vatting of two casks, bottled at 50.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with 409 bottles in the outturn.
The nose is fruity and smoky, with pears, apples, peaches and other stone fruits, plum spirit, mirabelle and kirsch, and a note of wet wood and ginger. On the palate there is wood, pepper and waxiness, with paraffin, mustard and more ginger. The finish is fairly long and waxy, with fresh almonds and cooked peaches.
