Clynelish – Distillers Edition (70cl)

This is Clynelish Distillers Edition, a single malt from a distillery on the northern Highland coast, in a 70cl bottle. Clynelish is known for a waxy, slightly briny style. In this edition that character is given a second spell in sherry casks, which brings a little dried fruit sweetness. Coastal Highland malts finished in sherry are typically described as waxy and lightly salty, with orange peel, raisin and a light nuttiness, followed by a long, dry finish.
