Colonel E.H. Taylor Straight Rye Bottled in Bond (75cl, 50%)

Colonel E.H. Taylor Straight Rye is a Bottled in Bond rye whiskey from Buffalo Trace Distillery, bottled at 50% in a 75cl bottle. It pays tribute to Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr. The mash bill leaves out corn altogether and uses only rye and malted barley. The nose brings dried fruit, black pepper and a touch of fresh dill. On the palate, sweet and savoury flavours sit alongside dark spices and subtle caramel. The finish is oaky and dry, and lingers for a moderate time.
