Compass Box Crimson Casks (70cl, 46%)

Compass Box Crimson Casks is a blended malt Scotch whisky bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is built around sherry and red wine casks. Part of the malt is matured in American oak sherry butts, seasoned specifically to bring spiciness and generous intensity from the oloroso influence. The nose is chocolate fudge cake with clove and cardamom, alongside plum jam and redcurrant jelly. The palate brings rich cherry, toffee and oak, and the finish carries raisin, honey and brown sugar.
