Orchard House is a blended malt Scotch whisky from Compass Box, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The first version joined the core range in 2021, and the current presentation arrived in 2024 with the renewed Core Collection. Most of the blend is Clynelish, Linkwood and Glen Moray from first-fill bourbon casks, with a malt from near Aberlour from an Oloroso sherry butt, a little Caol Ila and a Highland malt blend from a custom, heavily toasted French oak cask.
Apple and pear lead the nose, with pineapple, citrus peel and Earl Grey tea. Malt and ginger open the palate, followed by honey, wild strawberries and vanilla shortbread. The finish is medium, ending on soft wood.
