Orchard House is a blended malt from Compass Box, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The blend is built mainly on Clynelish (41.1%) and Linkwood (34.1%), with Glen Moray (10.4%), a single malt from a distillery near Aberlour (9.7%), Caol Ila (2.3%) and a Highland malt blend (2.4%).
The nose is fruity, with ripe apples, pears and citrus, a restrained maltiness and a light smokiness. The palate is sweet without being heavy, with a little fruit and spice. The finish is long and gently warming, with fruit returning alongside soft spice and a trace of smoke.
