Compass Box The Peat Monster Arcana 20th Anniversary (70cl)

Peat Monster Arcana is a 20th anniversary blended malt from Compass Box, in a 70cl bottle. It has a more oaky frame than the original The Peat Monster, with a subtler smokiness. It began as a cask strength version of The Peat Monster, which was then filled into three once-used casks fitted with heavily toasted French oak heads. After extended ageing, two of the casks had added creaminess and toasty spice, while the third had become fruitier and chocolaty. Most of the blend is waxy, delicately smoky malt from Talisker, with small amounts of Ardbeg and Miltonduff adding tarry peat and a charming fruitiness.
