Crabbie 22 Year Old Single Cask (70cl, 47.5%)

Crabbie 22 Year Old is a peated Orkney single malt, bottled from a single cask at 47.5% in a 70cl bottle. The release of 253 bottles carries the signature of master blender Dr Kirstie McCallum. The whisky spent 21 years in ex-bourbon casks before moving to a Palo Cortado sherry cask chosen by Dr McCallum. It then rested for a final six months at Crabbie's warehouse in the Leith area of Edinburgh. The sherry is described as Amontillado on the nose and Oloroso in the mouth. The nose brings dried fruit, vanilla fudge, forest berries and a hint of peppery smoke. Flavours of sweet berries and cream, caramel toffee, dried fruit, dark chocolate and coffee lead to a long, smoky finish.
