This is a 16 year old single malt from Craigellachie in Speyside, distilled in 2007 and bottled in August 2024 by Gordon & MacPhail for its Connoisseurs Choice series. It was matured in a refill sherry puncheon and bottled at a cask strength of 64.5% in a 70cl bottle, with an outturn of 604 bottles. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose offers cooked berries, ginger and a touch of freshly pressed apple juice. Tart redcurrants meet demerara sugar and juicy clementines on the palate, and the long finish carries charred oak and dark forest fruits.
