Cresta Bella Marsala is a sweet fortified wine from California, made in the style of Marsala. It follows the same idea as the Sicilian original: a rich, slightly oxidised, warm-toned fortified wine, though it is a distinct wine and not a Sicilian DOC Marsala.
Californian Marsala-style wines have a long history of production in the United States. This one is used in the kitchen for Marsala chicken, veal, mushroom sauces and tiramisu, and it can also be sipped as a sweet wine. It comes in a 75cl bottle.
