Crown Royal is a Canadian whisky bottled at 40% in a one litre bottle.
Samuel Bronfman first released it in Canada in 1939, in honour of the visit of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. Until 1964 it could only be bought in Canada.
It is made at the Manitoba distillery on the shore of Lake Winnipeg. The casks are then moved to Amherstburg in Ontario, where the whisky is blended and bottled.
