Crown Royal Texas Mesquite is a limited edition blended Canadian whisky, launched in May 2018 as the brand's first regional release, in tribute to Texas's long-standing fondness for Crown Royal. It is built on Crown Royal Fine De Luxe, distilled at Gimli Distillery in Manitoba, and infused with locally sourced Texas mesquite wood. It is bottled at 40% (80 proof) in a crown-shaped decanter with a wood grain label and a neck wrap inspired by the Texas flag.
The nose brings mesquite smoke, creamy vanilla, BBQ spice and oak. On the palate, smoky mesquite and warm oak meet vanilla, caramel and molasses. The finish is light and oaky, with lingering mesquite smoke.
