Crown Royal X.O. is a Canadian whisky finished in cognac casks. It follows the brighter Cask No. 16 and has a creamy body.
The nose opens with cedar, leather and tobacco. On the palate come toffee and cherry, then ripe red apple and dark fruit, with candied citrus peel, bitter almond skins and a base of oak.
The finish brings ginger spice and white pepper, lingering over a textured sandalwood note.
