Cu Bocan Creation #8 is the eighth release in Tomatin's Creation series of Cu Bocan whiskies.
It was matured in Eiswein casks and in Verdejo wine casks, the latter having held white wine from the Rueda region of Spain.
The nose combines sweet fruit with gentle smoke, among them baked apple, poached pear and apricot jam, alongside fennel and herbs. On the palate it is silky and lightly sweet before turning fresher and softly smoky, with green grapes and a trace of earthy peat. The finish carries the sweet wine and fruit into smoky honey and citrus.
