Cutty Sark Prohibition Edition (70cl, 50%)

Cutty Sark Prohibition Edition is a blended Scotch whisky that brings together single malt and grain whiskies in a small-batch blend. It is bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtration, and matured in sherry casks of American oak. The edition appeared in 2013, eighty years after the end of US Prohibition, and honours Captain William 'Bill' McCoy, who smuggled Cutty Sark into America in the 1920s. The black glass bottle with a cork stopper echoes the bottle design of that period. The nose is full and layered, with ripe citrus, honey and vanilla. The palate is rich and creamy, with a touch of toffee and peppery spice. The finish is soft, with lasting warmth and gentle spice.
