Dad's Hat Bottled in Bond Straight Rye is a straight rye whiskey bottled in bond at 100 proof, which is 50% ABV. The heat is very low for that strength, and the balance is rich through the whole mouth.
The nose brings sweet grain, cut grass, minty herbs and vanilla caramel. On the palate there is black and white pepper on the tip, dry cinnamon in the centre and malt at the edges, with graham cracker, mint and mild orchard fruit.
It finishes long, smooth and oily, with dark cocoa powder and black cherry.
