Dalmore – 12 Year Old (70cl, 40%)

Dalmore 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt from the distillery's Principal Collection, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It spends nine years in American white oak casks that previously held bourbon. The whisky is then divided: half stays in those casks, while the other half moves to Matusalem Oloroso sherry butts from Gonzalez Byass. The two parts are married again before bottling. The nose combines citrus fruit and chocolate with aromatic spices. On the palate there is concentrated citrus alongside Oloroso sherry and a touch of vanilla, with bitter orange and dried fruit. Roasted coffee and dark chocolate come through in the finish.
