Dalmore – 12 Year Old (70cl, 40%)

Dalmore 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It spent nine years in American white oak casks that had held bourbon. Half of the whisky then moved into ex-oloroso sherry casks for its final years. The result is a generous, pastry-like malt in which orange and chocolate lead. The nose is rich, with bitter orange, vanilla, milk chocolate and a touch of raisin. The palate is round and supple, with orange marmalade, caramel, cinnamon and stem ginger. The finish is medium, with cocoa, coffee and gentle spice.
