This is a 12 year old Dalmore single malt, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
Master blender Richard Paterson found the distillate too complex to mature in a single type of cask. It is therefore matured half in bourbon casks and half in Oloroso sherry casks, so that the character of each is combined.
The American oak bourbon casks give the whisky its vanilla note, and the combination gives it a full flavour.
