Dalmore – 2009 10 Year Old Spirits Shop Selection Hogshead (70cl, 46.5%)

This is a 10 year old Highland single malt from Dalmore, distilled in 2009 and bottled for the Spirits Shop Selection, a line from the Taiwanese independent bottler Hua Yang, which specialises in labels made with Asian drinkers in mind. The whisky matured in bourbon hogshead casks throughout, rather than taking the wine-cask finishes more often associated with the distillery. It is bottled at 46.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle, and is described as lively and fruity, offering a different view of this well-known Highland name.
