Refill bourbon barrel
This is a 9 year old Dalmore from the Highlands, bottled by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in 2011 and comes from a single refill bourbon barrel, which gave 215 bottles. The Society's cask code is 13.90, and the bottling is named That's The Spirit. The nose is full of baking and sweet things: iced gems, rich tea biscuits, powdered custard, ginger root tea with lemon and mint, and pistachio olive oil cake. The palate brings a tangy chicory salad with walnut oil dressing, and a lemon posset with sugar-almond shortbread. With water, it moves towards oatmeal cookie, Battenberg cake, jammy flapjacks and a pineapple cake with whipped cream.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
