Dalmore King Alexander III is a single malt bottled at 40% and finished in six types of cask: ex-bourbon, Matusalem oloroso sherry, Madeira, Marsala, port pipes and former Cabernet Sauvignon casks. Dalmore was founded in 1839 by Alexander Matheson and stands on the Cromarty Firth.
Red berries, fresh flowers and a hint of passion fruit open the nose, with almonds, citrus fruit and plum. The palate is warm, with vanilla, citrus peel, creamy cream caramels and crushed almonds, plus red berries. The finish brings cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger.
