This is Dalmore King Alexander III in its Year of the Fire Horse edition, a single malt from the Highlands. The nose combines red berries and passion fruit with lively orange peel, along with a hint of malt and soft chocolate. The palate is silky and full, with crème caramel and vanilla over fine almond notes, plus dark cherries and ripe plums. The finish is long, with cinnamon and ginger spice and a gentle note of oak.
