Dalmore The Trio is a limited edition single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 40%. Master Distiller Richard Paterson selected its three cask types. The whisky matures first in American oak ex-bourbon casks, then is finished in Moscatel wine barrels, Matusalem oloroso sherry casks and Amoroso sherry casks.
On the nose there is honey, citrus zest, soft grapes, caramel and dried fruit. The palate is silky and full, with brown sugar, orange preserve, raisins, milk chocolate, light spices and a hint of almond. The finish is medium to long and warming, with sherry and vanilla oak.
