Ribe Mjød is a Danish mead with apple, made to mark the 1300-year anniversary of Ribe, Scandinavia's oldest town. It was created with the Ribe Viking Centre and bottled at about 19%.
Apple juice is added to the honey, bringing a refreshing fruitiness and balanced acidity to the sweetness. It tastes of sweet honey and apple, with a light acidity.
