De Leyenda Guerrero Mezcal (70cl)

De Leyenda Guerrero is a mezcal from the Mexican state of Guerrero, made from 100% Cupreata agave, a wild variety that grows in the mountains there. The agave is cooked in traditional earth-covered pit ovens, fermented naturally and distilled in copper stills using methods passed down through generations. The nose shows damp earth, pine and a little citrus, giving way to herbal and mineral notes. On the palate come dried fruit, smoke and a distinct flint note. The finish is long, with spice and bitter chocolate.
