De Leyenda Oaxaca Mezcal (70cl)

De Leyenda Oaxaca is a mezcal from the Mexican region of Oaxaca, made entirely from Espadín agave grown on the dry hills there. The agave is harvested by hand and cooked slowly in underground pits, which gives the spirit its smoky character. The cooked agave is then ground, fermented naturally and distilled in copper stills by traditional methods. The smoke is well balanced by touches of fruit and a light earthiness. The finish is long and lingering.
