De Leyenda Puebla Mezcal (70cl)

De Leyenda Puebla is a Mexican mezcal made in the state of Puebla from naturally matured agave, selected by hand. The agave is slowly cooked in earth ovens, which gives the smoky character, then fermented naturally and distilled in copper stills. It opens sweet, with soft notes of ripe fruit, before moving gradually towards a strong smokiness with touches of earth and minerality. The finish is long and complex. It suits sipping neat at room temperature, and it also works in cocktails.
